Women Leaders in Sport Organisation Grants – Now Open

The Australian Sports Commission’s Women Leaders in Sport (WLIS) Equity Governance Grants are now open, supporting women to access high-quality governance education and leadership development opportunities in sport.

This program aims to strengthen pathways into decision-making roles and build more inclusive, representative sporting organisations across Australia.

About the program

Grants support women to undertake governance training that builds skills, confidence and knowledge to contribute at board and committee level. Priority is given to women from under-represented groups, including First Nations women, women with disability, culturally and linguistically diverse women, LGBTIQ+ women, and women in regional and remote communities.

Funding of up to $10,000 per applicant is available across three streams:

  • Foundational governance ($0–$3,999)
