How are you celebrating your Volunteers?
As we celebrate National Volunteer Week 2026, it’s the perfect time for community sporting clubs and organisations to recognise the incredible volunteers who help keep local sport running.
From coaches and committee members to team managers, scorers and canteen volunteers, volunteers play a vital role in creating welcoming, inclusive and connected sporting environments. How is your club celebrating and recognising your volunteers this National Volunteer Week?
The Victorian Volunteering Awards provide an opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding contributions volunteers make across communities throughout Victoria.
Run by Volunteering Victoria with the support of the Victorian State Government, the Awards celebrate excellence in volunteering by individuals and organisations across the state.

This National Volunteer Week we are calling on all Australians to give 3 Cheers for Volunteers and recognise the millions of volunteers across Australia who connect our communities through sport.
From coaching and coordinating teams, to running canteens, managing game days and supporting behind the scenes, volunteers are the backbone of community sport. Their time, energy and commitment help create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to participate, belong and thrive.
