A great football netball club is more than its players, coaches, or premierships. It’s a thriving, healthy community. And a healthy community starts with our minds.
Sports Focus are partnering with the Tackle Your Feelings (TYF) program to make mental health training available to community football netball clubs.
Tackle Your Feelings is a free mental health training program for community AFL & Netball coaches, as well as committee members and other club support staff.
The program was inspired by mental health education developed for AFL professional coaches and players, consisting of one face-to-face workshop (90 minutes) delivered by a local psychologist, followed by 3 further online modules (approx. 20 minutes each).
The program is delivered by a local psychologist and aims to help participants to gain the tools to Understand, Recognise and Respond to signs of mental ill-health in their players and members.
Tackle Your Feelings is a free program and is available to your football netball club.
