Would you like to find out more about making your club and sport more inclusive and safer for everyone in the community?
Community sports clubs and facilities are encouraged to attend these workshops to help prepare their club to build lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, gender diverse, intersex, queer and asexual (LGBTIQA+) inclusion.
The sessions are ideal for clubs who have never actively engaged in LGBTIQA+ inclusion, or who have recently started working with LGBTIQA+ communities. Hear people’s lived experiences of sport settings and find out how to work together to address inequalities experienced by LGBTIQA+ people. You will be equipped with practical tools and resources to support you, to ensure sport is safe and sustainable by welcoming and including everyone.
The workshop is facilitated by Proud 2 Play. It is for coaches, team managers, committee members, volunteers and players across the Loddon Campaspe Region. Representatives from the Mount Alexander Falcons will be in attendance to provide some further insights into some of the simple things their club has initiated to provide a place where everyone feels safe and respected and can thrive through participation in sport. Local support organisations will also be in attendance to ensure an open and safe learning environment and help your club on its inclusion journey.
