Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant program

Has your club experienced the loss or damage of essential sporting equipment due to an unexpected event?

The Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant Program is now open, providing up to $2,000 to help Victorian community sport and active recreation organisations repair or replace essential sporting and first-aid equipment damaged or lost due to unforeseen incidents.

Funding is available for equipment impacted by events such as:

  • Bushfire
  • Flood
  • Significant storm
  • Earthquake
  • Theft
  • Arson
  • Criminal damage

 

This funding aims to help grassroots clubs recover quickly and continue providing opportunities for their communities to participate in sport.

 

Applications are open for incidents occurring between 1 June 2026 and 31 May 2027. Clubs will need to provide supporting evidence, such as photos, police reports (where applicable), and quotes or receipts as part of the application process.

 

Grant amount: Up to $2,000

 

Applications close: 31 May 2027 (or earlier if funding is exhausted).

Eligible community sport and active recreation organisations are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
