Community sporting clubs now have the opportunity to improve their facilities through the Game On: Teaming Up for Climate Action program, with $17.6 million available in Round 1 funding.
The program aims to support up to 500 community sporting clubs across Australia to become more energy efficient, climate resilient and better prepared for the future.
Funding is available for projects that:
Install energy-efficient technologies, including battery storage.
Improve shade and drainage infrastructure.
Enhance club facilities to better withstand extreme weather events.
By investing in these upgrades, clubs can reduce operating costs and redirect savings back into equipment, programs and opportunities that benefit their members and the wider community.
Applications close Monday 13 July 2026 at 9.00pm AEST.
Due to the high volume of applications, funding will be considered in the order applications are received, so clubs are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
If your club is considering applying and would like assistance with the application process, Sports Focus is available to provide support.
