Regional Events Fund
The Regional Events Fund (REF) is provided by the Victorian Government, to attract and support events held in regional Victoria, that bring visitors from outside the region, create job opportunities and contribute to the local visitor economy.
There are 3 funding streams:
- Regional Event Acquisition (REA) – Applications received and reviewed on an on-going basis. Discussion must be held with Visit Victoria prior to submission.
- Event Growth and Development (EGD) – 3 funding rounds per year.
- Event Industry Support (EIS) – Applications assessed on a monthly basis.
Not for profit organisations, including sporting, cultural and community groups that are an incorporated body are eligible for applying.
Amount: Varies, up to $1,000,000
Status:
Stream 1 – Open on an ongoing basis.
Stream 2 – Open May 1st – June 30th.
Stream 3 – Open monthly for applications, except January and December
